Each slot asks for a specific position; every pair of starters who shared a club adds +2.0 chemistry, every same-league pair +0.4. Chemistry feeds your attack and your recovery between matches — you regain 7 + (chemistry − 60) ÷ 14 fatigue per matchday — so a 100-chemistry block from one legendary club (Real Madrid 2017, Barça 2011…) consistently beats a disconnected eleven of 90s.

You get up to 3 re-draft chances before locking the squad: use them on positions that came out thin, not on shinier names. And remember the position warning: fielding someone outside their natural position cuts their performance by up to -28% (0.85 factor on an opposite line, 0.92 on a neighbouring one). Drafting with each player's role in mind costs nothing and wins matches.

Chemistry: the stat behind the ratings

Chemistry isn't a cosmetic bar: it is the strongest free multiplier in the game. The exact formula is simple — club link +2.0, league link +0.4, base 54, capped at 100. A mixed draft typically lands between 60 and 90; a single-club block hits 100. What changes: your attack gains roughly +1 per 10 chemistry points above 60, and your squad recovers more freshness between matchdays. Over 38 fixtures, that difference is a whole season of fitness.

Line chemistry up with the positional values hidden in each rating. The match engine computes attack as 50% finishing + 25% dribbling + 25% pace; midfield as 45% passing + 30% dribbling + 25% defending; defence as 50% defending + 30% physical + 20% pace; and goalkeeping as 50% reflexes + 30% reach + 20% positioning. A striker with 95 finishing but 60 pace contributes less than his rating suggests — read the attributes, not just the number.

Every fixture follows the same rhythm, and each step has a small but real effect:

• Pre-match: check freshness and injuries, pick the captain (he adds +1.2 to defence and +0.6 to attack), and answer the press when a conference fires — your answers move morale.
• During the match: the live ticker narrates goals, penalties, free-kicks, VAR calls and cards. Keep an eye on momentum and use your 3 substitutions between the 55th and 70th minute to refresh tired legs before attributes drop.

When the campaign ends you have two paths. Repeat with the same team resets the tournament and lets you re-draft up to 3 players to fix weak spots. Career mode carries your squad into the next year: players evolve by their average match rating (about +2 for a 7.4+ season, -1 below 6.0), and a transfer market opens between seasons.
