Step 1: pick your settings

Before you start, you set three important options:

• Difficulty: Easy, Normal or Legend. Legend hardens your opponents and makes every decision count; for your first season, Normal is the sweet spot.
• Career mode: turn it on and your squad carries over between seasons, players evolve over time and a transfer market opens between seasons. Leave it off and every season starts fresh with a new draft.
• Hidden attributes: an expert mode where you can't see exact player ratings and must trust your scouting eye.

Step 2: the draft

The draft is the heart of the game. First a club is drawn, then you build your team by picking players from its historical squad, slot by slot, until you complete a starting eleven plus up to 4 substitutes.

• You pick players by pitch position: each slot asks for a specific position, so think about the balance of the eleven, not just big names.
• You get re-draft chances: if a pick doesn't convince you, you can redo it before locking in your squad.
• Playing someone outside their natural position triggers a warning and cuts their performance (up to -28% in an opposite line), so draft with each player's role in mind.

Step 3: chemistry

Chemistry comes from club and league links between your players: the more they share, the better the team performs as a unit. An 88-rated eleven with strong links usually beats a 90-rated one without them.

• Prioritise players who shared a club or a league.
• Combine it with good physicals and a cautious tactic: chemistry also helps slow down freshness loss across the season.

How the season works

Your team plays a 20-team double round-robin league: 38 matchdays. Each match is narrated through a live text commentary with a 2D animation you can hide to speed things up. And matches are eventful: penalties, free-kicks, VAR, injuries and substitutions.

• Half-time talk: at the break you give a dressing-room speech that shapes team morale for the second half.
• Press conferences: before and after every match you answer the press, with an effect on the dressing room.
• Injuries and freshness: freshness drops as the calendar wears on and weakens attributes; it recovers partially between matches, and good physicals protect it.
• Formations: between matches you can switch between 9 systems in the lineup editor and your players re-arrange themselves by position.

After the season ends: repeat or Career?

When the campaign finishes you have two paths. You can repeat with the same team, which resets the tournament and lets you re-draft up to 3 players to fix your weak spots. Or, in Career mode, your squad crosses into the next year: players evolve over time and a transfer market opens between seasons so you can strengthen the team.

Your growth as a manager

Off the pitch, the game grows you as a coach: you earn XP and level up, complete missions, unlock badges and rack up season points. The collection album tracks your players: complete a team's squad from an era and its ⭐ lights up. And in "My club" you customise the name, generate a crest and pick a stadium — all purely cosmetic.

Playing with friends

LaLiga 38-0 is also multiplayer. Create a private room and share the invite code: everyone takes turns drafting from the same player pool and competes in the same league. Prefer something quick? The real-time duel pits you head-to-head against another manager.
